Yechury asks PM Modi to present his Govt.’s report in Parliament

Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Sitaram Yechury on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should present a report in the Parliament highlighting the accomplishments of his government in the last six months.

“The Prime Minister should present a report in the Parliament about whether the leaders of the ruling party did some productive work as well others, than making (controversial) speeches,” Yechury told the media outside the Parliament here.

“A lot of ministers made a variety of speeches, which, on various occasions instigated the country, so undoubtedly the ministers are working, but the report of the ministers’ handling of their particular ministries should be presented by the Prime Minister to the Parliament and eventually to the nation,” he added.

Reacting to the latest disruptions in the Parliament, Yechury said that the ruling party needs to think of a way to break the deadlock.

He also said that his party had served three notifications suggesting ways to break the deadlock, but had not received any response from the government. (ANI)
