Mahboobnagar, December 10:

By just cutting off one item from the menu served in grand marriage party dinners, marriage of a poor Muslim girl can be arranged. By avoiding extravagance in parties which aims just to show off, the saved amount if spent on educating boys and girls will result in multi-facet benefits. These views were expressed by Mr. Zahed Ali Khan, Editor Siasat daily, addressing the gathering as chief guest at ‘Du Ba Du’ programme held at Almas Function Hall, Mahboob Nagar.

The programme was conducted jointly by Siasat daily, Muslim Development Forum and Rahbar Rishta Society, Mahboobnagar. Continuing his motivating speech Mr. Zahed Ali Khan told that MDF conducted a survey in Hyderabad 4 years ago which revealed that 30000 girls of marriageable age are anxiously waiting for alliance at their parents’ home.

He told that he himself saved Rs 5 lakh at the time of his son’s Valima Ceremony and the same amount was spent for installation of shade at Masjid Bagh-e-Aamma, Hyderabad. He asserted that the life-style of Muslims in Bhatkal is worth emulating who arrange simple marriages.

Mr. Abid Siddiqui chairman Islah-e-Muashera revealed that 16 Du Ba Du programmes have been conducted so far.

Managing editor Siasat Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, president MDF Mr. Mohammed Yousuf, Mr. Khaja Moinuddin, Mr. Abdul Qadeer and others also graced the occasion.

Dubai

I am glad to learn Zahid Sahab's sincere efforts, May Allah bless him and his families.

I am an NRI,working in Dubai. I will be happy to work for this cause and propogate the benefits for marriage savings. I will take my own initiative keeping your guidelines in mind. However, please advise on how to implement this successfully.

Along with me there would be few dozens of NRI to help me in this process. I am not sure if I must indicate my email address or my phone number. Please respond to this post or provide me with your direct email to further my communication.

Jazakallah

simple marriages

thanks to zahid bhai, at least he is trying to some thing to curb the huge expences in marriage. it would be better only one dish is served in shadi and valima. other organisations also must do some thing.

Unity please for sake of Allah

Mere bahiyo Kash i can see that Zahid saab,Asad&Akbar saab brothers ,Mohammed Phelwan Saab kaqam&Amjed saab brothers & All other Muslim leaders in Hyderabad sitting on one table and eating biryani and thinking about our people in Hyd and in other parts of the world, if they can do this For the Sake of Allah & not for anybody else, then I think all our NRI brothers will come back to HYD and join the table & no body needs to go out of HYD then.

Bhaia ke aage been bajana

Kya Mia Zahid.Akal ki baatan kidar karte.
Sab logan sirf biryani khane ko ready rehte(free ki)
MIM ke biryani khakar old city ko barbad kar diye.

Re:Bhais ke aage been bajane

Even though the people of old city not listen to Zahid Bhai at least he is trying.
Social evils like school drop out are being addressed by him.
We Muslims need people like him to take us forward.
The literacy rate of Muslims is falling.
Zahid is trying to encourage women to study and be independent.
Wastage on marriages, festivals etc should be discouraged and people should be encouraged to spend on education.
Well done Zahid.
Keep up the good work.
Remember even Jesus Christ had few followers at the time of his life.

Need actions

I appreciate the views of the speaker. However today what we lack is to put the ideas into action. I verily agree that we should cut down the cost of marriages. But who will initiate this, Every body wants to spend lavishly (even if they dont have money they are lending it and parents of girls are forced to lend since the grooms mohter says "SONA ZYAADA DAALO, AUR HUMKO SHAADI ACHI KARKE DENA, KHANDAN ME HAMARA NAAM HONA"). Every one wants to show off Just to satisfy their EGOs.

In some cases even the girls parents who are rich are also to be blamed. These people are offering the grooms heavy dowries in the form of cash/land/ornaments and speding alot in the marriages. By doing this they are setting wrong examples in the society. ALLAH PLEASE FORGIVE US FOR DOING ALL THESE WRONG THINGS AND GUIDE US ON RIGHT PATH.

FURTHER MORE I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST THE READERS, THAT BEFORE WE SPEND MONEY ON CONSTRUCTION OF MOSQUES OR IMPROVEMENT OF MOSQUES WHAT WE NEED IS TO COME AND FILL THE MOSQUE DURING THE PRAY TIMES. EXCEPT FOR JUMAA PRAYER/RAMAZAN MONTH ALL THE MOSQUES ARE EMPTY ONLY FEW OLD PEOPLE WILL FILL THE FIRST ONE OR TWO ROWS. LETS START OFFERING SALAH 5 TIMES DAILY THEY WE CAN CONSTRUCT AS MANY MOSQUES FOR TIME BEING WE NEED TO OFFER NAMAZ.

Moreover look at the way they eat in the marriages, it looks like they were hungry since ages. Shameless people.

we are very good in talking or delivering speeches, however when it comes to implementation everybody backs off.

I wish and pray allah that he should guide us on correct path.

Zahid may as well talk to stone monuments

Trying to convince the Muslims & change their mindset is as difficult as trying to make a stone statue understand something.
Siasat has been trying to highlight the importance of educating Muslim children, but the population of old city has rejected his probity and jumped to MIM bandwagon.
The people go to party to just eat as if they have never seen food anytime in their life.
The incidence of poor girls whose parents have been unable to get them married has met with little success.
But the old city is only thinking of Charminar, which ultimately is only a structure of stone as is the temple adjoining it.

Siasat & MIM

I am also a daily reader and listener of Siasat Paper but never object to M/s Siasat or to its concerns. But in comments box I saw several uneducated, time wasters comparing MIM to M/s Siasat and writing against Siasat concerns. My request to those stupid people if you want to see Siasat you can see but don’t compare Siasat with MIM. MIM is a political party and Siasat is a newspaper. But this stupid ass knows well but again again calming to Siasat. They are local and international idiots.

Aray jahil insaan jab tum ko Siasat paper acha nahi lagta to kyun deykhto ho aur kyun comments kartay ho kisi per kichad uchaal na khali nahi jata tum per tumhar family per bhi is ka sila milta. Saber karo aur ahed karo jo cheez pasand nahi usay mat deykho mat suno yehi tumhari leyia bhaali hai. Siasat ek news paper hai koi siasi jamaat nahi jaisay MIM hai. Samjhay. Nahi samjhay to samajh jaoo warna tum per bhi koi tauhomat lagay e ga. Jo karoogay us ka sila zaroor pawoogay koi tum per bhi ungli uthagayaaa.
