The prospect of substantial development and job creation has led to heightened expectations among locals, resulting in a flurry of activity in the real estate sector. Landowners, capitalising on the newfound interest, have hiked prices by an astonishing 70%, according to reports from the region.

A few months ago, an acre of land in Anegundi village was priced at Rs 12 lakh. However, after the inauguration of Ayodhya Temple and the onset of development initiatives around Anjanadri, landowners have hiked prices to Rs 20-25 lakh per acre. This surge in demand is not only attributed to the religious significance of the area but also to its fertility. The land is ideal for agriculture and horticulture.

Officials from local panchayats have reported an influx of visitors from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai and other parts of the country, who are keen to assess the rising land prices around Anjanadri. The growing interest from outside investors has further fueled the upward trend in land values, with locals capitalizing on the heightened demand.

The steady flow of tourists, particularly from North Indian states, flocking to the temple every week has cemented Anjanadri’s reputation as a prominent pilgrimage site, further contributing to the escalating interest in the region’s real estate market. As anticipation for development continues to grow, stakeholders remain optimistic about the economic prospects and transformative impact on the local community.
