1.8 lakh poor minority candidates deprived of loan

Hyderabad: Almost 1.8 lakh poor minority candidates are waiting for release of loan from Minority Finance Corporation for the past 1 year. Government had announced scheme to provide 2 to 10 lakh rupees through Minority Finance Corporation under which nearly 1.8 lakh candidates had applied for loan. These applicants are forced to make rounds of the corporation for subsidy but in vain. It is said that there is no possibility of implementation of scheme during current year.

Government had allocated Rs. 150 Cr for the scheme. According to officials data 34.5 Cr have been spent for the scheme. The question arises while the implementation on the scheme has not begun yet where the money was spent. The money is said to have been spent on release of subsidy for last year’s sanctioned applications.

On one side people are running from pillar to post to get the loan while on the other side fake proceeding letters are being issued in connivance with some internal elements.
