10-ft long python gives goose bumps to passengers at Shamsabad Airport

Hyderabad: A 10-foot python was found in the premises of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday. The reptile created panic among passengers.

As reported by the Deccan Chronicle on Friday around 2.30 pm, when the engineers of TrueJet airlines were doing routine checks on aircraft parked in Bay 7, an engineer suddenly spotted the snake a few metres away from the aircraft which was scheduled to take off for Aurangabad in the evening. If it was not spotted, the snake may have entered the landing gear of the aircraft, said airport sources.

Airport Operations wing was immediately alerted and the airport swiftly went to emergency mode.

The python was rescued by the anti-poaching squad without any harm.
