Hyderabad: In view of republic day celebrations, Police bandobust has been intensified with about 1,000 police officers at Parade Ground and other places.
“We are also utilising the services of Rapid Action Force (RAF) consisting of 120 members for the safety and security of the Hyderabad citizens,” said North Zone DCP N. Prakash Reddy.
The DCP informed that vehicle checking was being organised very frequently at different places randomly and a close watch has been kept on criminals and anti-social elements in city. Lodges and hotels were also being checked to verify the identity of the occupants.
People who are coming to Parade Grounds have been asked not to bring prohibited materials like match boxes, cigar lighters, water bottles, black flags, black ribbons, black clothes, placards, sticks and other objectionable materials which are being used for exhibiting protest and should not cause any disturbance for conducting this celebration. They were also advised to bring the passes which were issued to them. (INN)
