Firozabad: Twelve persons were killed and 11 injured when a bus carrying a marriage party collided with a tanker and came in contact with a high tension wire here.
The incident occurred near Bamba crossing last night.
Eight persons were killed, four of them on the spot, District Magistrate Nidhi Kesarwani said today.
Of the 11 injured, five were referred to Agra in a serious condition. Four of the injured succumbed later in the night, Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjiv Bajpai said.
The deceased include Wakil (45), Karua (20), Krishna (25), police said, adding they were trying to ascertain the identity of the others.
