A 13-year-old girl committed suicide by setting herself ablaze in Shamirpet police limits.
The deceased, E. Hemavathi, an eight class student, resorted to the extreme step at her maternal grandmother’s residence in Jangamguda on Wednesday. She was admitted to Gandhi Hospital where she died a few hours after admission.
According to police, Hemavathi was living with her grandmother Bharathi after her parents got separated a few months ago. She was reportedly under depression over the strained relationship between her parents and the same is suspected to have driven her to suicide.
In another case, A Sohan, 29, a driver, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Sai Chitra Nagar on Wednesday night. Financial problems are suspected to be the reason behind suicide, according to Uppal police. (INN)
