15 year old boy pushed off train by TTE

Bhuvaneshwar: A 15-year old boy was allegedly pushed off a moving train by a Train Ticket Examiner. P Krishna, from Srikakulam, had boarded Chennai-Howrah Coromandel Express but was later found on railway tracks in Mancheswar in Bhubaneswar with injuries all over his body. His condition is said to be critical.

Krishna, who was admitted to Capital Hospital for surgery, alleged that he was pushed off the train by a TTE as he did not have a ticket. He claimed the TTE asked for a fine, but when he was unable to pay, the TTE allegedly threw him out of the train.

The divisional railway manager of Khurda Road has ordered a departmental inquiry into the incident. Bhubaneswar Childline and GRP have taken custody of the boy. Childline officials said Krishna was going to Cuttack from Vizag to meet a relative.

East Coast zone railway officials denied any such incident. East Coast Railway PRO B Tapan Kumar said the boy probably jumped off the train after seeing the TTE as he was travelling without a ticket.
