A total of 15,311 Haj Applications were received by the Telangana State Haj Committee from across the State as on Monday, the last date for submitted applications.
According to SHC Special Officer Prof. S.A. Shukoor, of 15,311 Haj applications, 13,474 applications were received in the General Category, 562 in the Reserved Category ‘A’ consisting of 70+ years and 1275 Applications were received in the Reserved Category ‘B’ (Fourth Timer ). Hyderabad tops the list with 12,413 Haj Applications, he said. A total of 2,969 pilgrims from Telangana State had performed Haj last year.
The Telangana State Haj Committee made arrangements for issue and acceptance of the Haj Application Forms for the Andhra Pradesh State. As many as 2,668 Haj Applications were received from AP which include 100 Applications under Reserved Category ‘A’ and 46 Applications under Category ‘B’. Last year, a total of 2,404 pilgrims had performed Haj from Andhra Pradesh. (INN)
