18-year-old Saudi girl student selected as Youth Ambassador by UN

Alkhobar: A girl student, Razan Al-Aqeel (18) from Saudi Arabia was selected as Arab youth ambassador to the United Nations Youth Assembly in a session being held under the slogan: ‘The world that we want in 2030’.

The sessions which were held in US discussed 150 global issues and suggested appropriate solutions.

In this conference, Al-Aqeel, a first year student of political science at the Appalachian State University in North Carolina spoke about volunteering emphasis in kingdom and the ways of developing community work that benefits all the members of society, in addition to global warming and its consequent environmental hazards.

According to the news published in Arab News, she said, “I believe that the youth can make a difference in the world. The youth are the adults of tomorrow, so I’ll wait for the next ten years to see a whole new world.”

Al-Aqeel is studying bachelor’s degree course in Political Science at the North Carolina State University in US under student exchange program.
