Over 2 lakh people will attend PM’s meeting: Harish Rao

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Friday informed that elaborate arrangements have been made for the maiden visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons after inspecting the arrangements at Gajwel of Medak district, Harish Rao said more than two lakh people are expected to attend the public meeting which will be addressed by the Prime Minister after launching ‘Mission Bhagaridha’ scheme on August 7. In view of rainy season, water proof tents have been erected. He said that the dais could accommodate 18 people although the meeting would be addressed only by the Prime Minister and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. Four helipads have been established and parking arrangements are being made on 170 acres of land.

Harish Rao said that the Prime Minister would participate in five official programmes in the State. He said CC cameras have been installed at all venues and their routes. He hoped that Narendra Modi’s first visit to Telangana would be highly memorable. (INN)
