Kota: A cashier of a trading firm was allegedly robbed of Rs 20 lakh by two motorbike-borne youths at Grain Mandi road in Lanka Gate area here today.
“Two miscreants snatched away the bag containing Rs 20 Lakh cash today from one Kamal Prakash Sharma, cashier of a trading firm in Bundi grain mandi,” Superintendent of Police Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav said.
The incident occurred when the cashier was returning after withdrawing money from a bank, he said.
According to eyewitnesses, the miscreants snatched the bag at gun point.
One of the accused is reported to have dropped his mobile phone while fleeing but the police did not confirm it.
A case has been registered against two unknown persons and footage from CCTV installed in the area is being examined.
