20 militants killed in Afghanistan


Kabul: At least 20 Taliban militants were killed in Badghis province of Afghanistan over the past two days, a senior official said on Saturday.

“A cleanup operation involving units of national army and police was launched in parts of Badghis province on Friday and so far 20 armed Taliban have been killed and 13 injured,” Xinhua quoted the official as saying.

Eight security personnel were injured during the operation which still continues, the official said.
