Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel told that the 1st instalment has been released to 137 students selected under Overseas Scholarship Scheme. Out of the 210 selected candidates verification of certificates of 161 candidates has been completed and the bills have been sent to treasury. He further said that the 1st instalment will be released to all elected students within one week.
Submission of applications has begun in the second phase and the last date to submit online applications is December 29, till 5 pm. A total of Rs. 25 Cr have been allotted for the scheme of which 12.5 Cr. have been released so far.
Syed Omer Jaleel informed that further 29 applications will be selected for scholarship in the first phase, they will be issued 1st instalment of scholarship after verification of certificates.
