Hyderabad: In a startling incident a five-day old infant was kidnapped by an unidentified woman from a hospital early on Tuesday in Karimnagar.
V. Ramya, from Chamanapalli village, delivered a baby boy on Monday. She was sleeping in her ward with her child and her relatives were sleeping in the corridors. When Ramya woke up at around 4am, she noticed that her baby is missing and raised an alarm. A complaint was lodged with Karimnagar authorities.
According to the CCTV footage from Chalmeda Hospital a hospital, an unidentified woman simply walks into the hospital and join an unidentified man who was standing in the corridor.
Karimnagar police commissioner V.B. Kamalasan Reddy said. “The woman suspect who was seen on CCTV was assisted by a male between 35 to 40 years of age and they used a black coloured Honda Activa scooter to flee from the hospital,” he also said that five special teams were formed to nab the kidnappers.
