57 Naxals surrender before police in Malkangiri

New Delhi: As many as 56 Naxals, including twenty five women, surrendered before the police in Odisha’s Malkangiri district.

Around 56 Maoists belonging to the Odisha – Chhattisgarh Naxal Darava division – including 17 Maoists belonging to the Odisha cadre, surrendered before Chhattisgarh Bastar IG on March 11.

Around 50 more Maoist sympathisers had surrendered before the Malkangiri Superintendent of Police on March 7. Earlier on March 5, 158 Maoists supporters, including a few militia commanders of the CPI (Maoists), had surrendered before the police in Malkangiri district.
