59 more pilgrims from TS, AP selected for Haj 2015

As many as 59 pilgrims, who were in the Waiting List, from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States have been selected for Haj 2015.

While 75 seats were sanctioned under Prime Minister’s Quota, 180 pilgrims of different States have cancelled their journey due to personal reasons. The Haj Committee of India later distributed those 255 seats among all the States, based on their population. Of them, 32 pilgrims were selected from Telangana while 27 have been selected from Andhra Pradesh.

With the selection of 59 more pilgrims, the number of pilgrims selected under Waiting List category has touched 325 in Telangana and 311 in Andhra Pradesh.

Telangana State Haj Committee’s Special Officer Prof. S.A.Shukoor has requested the pilgrims under Waiting List up to 325 to submit their forms and payments by August 3. Those opting for Green Category will have to deposit Rs. 212,850 each while those choosing Azizia Category will have to pay Rs. 181,100. These pilgrims have been allotted bank reference numbers.

The pilgrims have been asked to submit their original passport, one colour photo and the challan receipt of payment at the office of Haj Committee at Haj House in Nampally. The pilgrims can get more details from the SHC office in person or through telephone number 040-23236310. (INN)
