Chennai: A seven-member gang in early hours of Wednesday entered the Hyundai’s automobile parking yard where 65 vehicles were parked. Seven brand new SUVs were stolen by this gang after attacking a security guard, but five of the vehicles were traced within hours, police said.

Seven men barged into a parking facility in Manapakkam here maintained by a Hyundai dealer and picked up a quarrel with the security guard. They then attacked him and drove away seven sports utility vehicles in quick succession.

Soon after, the guard, Manoharan lodged a complaint with police who managed to trace the cars in Valasaravakkam locality here.
