Bangalore: In a heartbreaking incident, at least 8 children were killed and 11 others were injured when an omni van collided with a private bus in Kundapur region, Karnataka. The incident happened at the at Trasi village around 400 km from Bengaluru around 8:15 am.
The van had stopped at an intersection just a few metres from the school when the speeding bus ran into it form behind, completely crushing a part of the vehicle. The driver of the bus that collided with the van has been arrested.
“Eight children were killed on the spot. The others, including the driver, are being treated at a hospital in Manipal. One child is critical. The other seven kids and the van driver are out of danger,” police said.
