Over 82% qualify in POLYCET-2016

More than 82% candidates have passed the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET – 2016) whose results were declared here on Monday.

Announcing the results, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari informed that of 124,747 registered candidates, a total of 103,001 or 82.56% candidates have cleared the entrance exams. With a pass percentage of 85.64%, girls have outnumbered boys who had a pass percentage of 80.84%. As many as eight student secured full 120 marks.

The counseling for admissions into 58,080 seats in 11 Government and 46 private polytechnic colleges will be held from May 20 and classes will commence from June 9. (INN)
