Ghaziabad: Nine persons, who had looted Rs 14 lakh from the cashier of a Delhi-based plywood trader last month, have been arrested and a part of the booty and weapons seized from them, police claimed today.
Ghaziabad Senior Superintendent of Police H N Singh said the robbers were arrested yesterday based on a tip-off.
Police had earlier announced cash rewards on information leading to the arrest of the four of the nine persons arrested.
They had robbed the cashier at gun point in April.
Police have recovered Rs 5.5 lakh, eight country-made pistols, 20 live cartridges and one knife from them.
