Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali told that current year 9000 applications of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme have been cleared. Answering to a question posed by MIM MLA Jaffer Husain during Zero Hour, Mahmood Ali informed that pending applications of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme will be cleared soon.
MIM MLA complained that Shadi Mubarak Scheme was badly affected due to negligence of government. He also complained that some RDO’s are insisting for Muslim religion certificate from applicants. Even as the scheme is for Muslims and marriage certificate itself is the proof that the applicant is a Muslim, asking for separate religion certificate is uncalled for, he claimed.
