Mamata always compromises with corruption: Congress leader Adhir

Kolkata: Accusing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of compromising with corruption, state Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Monday said her government lacked the determination to take action against Trinamool Congress leaders who have been shown accepting money in a sting operation.

On a day footage of sting operation on two more Trinamool leaders were aired, Chowdhury said Banerjee was transparent and honest only in words and not in practice.

“Does this government have the determination to take action against them? Mamata Banerjee talks of transparency and honesty only in words.

“In practice, Mamata Banerjee has always compromised with corruption, and given indulgence to graft,” he said.
