New Delhi: Two teenage boys drowned in river Saryu in Fakharpur area in Bahraich after a boat capsized, police said on Monday.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening when Luvkush (13) and Vinod (15) had gone to graze their cattle in Bhilaura village and started playing on an empty boat near the river bank, the police said.
However, the boat which was not anchored, capsized, the children lost balance and drowned in the river, police said.
The bodies have not been fished out yet, they said.
