Hyderabad: The traffic police has made Aadhaar number mandatory while checking vehicles. If motorists fail to provide the number, the vehicle will be seized. They can collect the vehicle by paying fine.
After making the helmet compulsory for two wheelers, traffic police has now made the Aadhaar number compulsory. This rule came in the wake of the death of young Ramya in an accident, in which all the accused were minors without driving licenses.
Motorists can either show a Photostat copy, cell phone photo or at least provide the number.
