Hyderabad: 1,000 national flags were hoisted at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road. People in large numbers irrespective of age turned up to witness the celebrations. The celebrations were organised by Global Peace Initiative to attempt a record for hoisting the most number of Indian flags at one location.
People of Hyderabad celebrated Republic Day with great fervour. Many people hoisted the national flag to celebrate the occasion. Schools, colleges, organisations, establishments and colony associations took to the streets to celebrate the 68th Republic Day.
