Abraj Kudai: World’s largest hotel set for 2017 opening in Makkah

Dubai: By 2017, the Holy city of Makkah will be home to the largest hotel in the world.

Abraj Kudai, the world’s hotel contain 12 towers, 10,000 rooms, 70 restaurants, prayer areas, food courts, bus station, shopping mall, restaurants, conference centre and car parks plus helipads on top for guests who arrive via chopper.

Designed by Dar Al Handasah, the $3.5 billion hotel is stretch across 1.4 million square meters.

Just a mile south of the world’s largest mosque and Islam’s most sacred site, the Masjid al-Haram, Abraj Kudai will cater to
wealthy pilgrims who make their journey to Makkah.

London-based Areen Hospitality Group designed the interiors. Due to its room count, the mammoth hotel is set to become the largest hotel in the world.
