Achieve targets: Minister tells hospitals

Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today instructed the doctors and staff to maintain timings with 100 per cent of attendance to offer improved health services and ensure 50 per cent deliveries are done in government hospitals.

The minister held a review meeting with district health officials and superintendents at IIHFW in Vengalarao Nagar here. Speaking on the occasion the minister directed the hospital management committees to take care of filling up vacant posts of doctors and experts and offer the best services through field level visits.

 Lakshma Reddy directed the officials to set their own targets and implement a plan of action. The doctors and staff should coordinate to offer the best health care services. The development of hospitals and expansion works should be done on time and each health center will get a high technology tab for data feeding and updating the details. As new districts are formed improved health services are expected by the people. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for offering the matchless health services to the poor at government hospitals he said. Accordingly necessary steps are being taken and the health officials should give priority to mother child health after delivery.  (NSS)
