Drug case: Actress Charmee allegedly touched inappropriately by SIT

Hyderabad: Tollywood Actress Charmee who was called in for questioning in the drug racket case by the Special Investigation Team alleged that the excise personnel touched her inappropriately while she was the entering the office located in Nampally.

Charmee who arrived at the SIT office after shooting a scene for her upcoming movie in Kondapur this morning alleged that the excise personnel touched her inappropriately on the pretext of taking her into the office when SIT officials denied actress’s bouncers to walk in with her.

One of the excise constables named Srinivas crossed his limits putting his hand on the actress back on the pretext of taking her to the lift. She said though there were other female constables present at the office, Srinivas misbehaved with her.

The actress complained the Excise officials about the constable’s mistreatment towards her.

SIT was directed by the Hyderabad High Court to carry out the probe into the alleged drug racket that was recently busted by the ED and that the interrogation for the case is carried out between 10 am to 5 pm in presence of four woman officer team including the Assistant Excise Department and three other Circle inspectors.

The Apex Court on Tuesday, passed certain guidelines to the SIT, acting on Actress’s petition, strictly prohibiting the SIT from seeking blood or hair samples from the actress.

Sources claim SIT strongly believes the Actress can somehow shed some light on drug abuse in Tollywood since she also has connections with Puri Jagannath, film producer and that the prime accused Calvin who is friends with most prominent personalities of Tollywood now under SIT radars.
