Advisory Committee meeting of Deccan Radio held


Hyderabad: A meeting of the Advisory Committee of Deccan Radio was held in collaboration with National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Govt. of India to review the project on women’s health which is being implemented for the past six months.

Broadcast on Science for Women’s health and nutrition were presented on Deccan Radio during the past six months. The details of these broadcasts were presented in the meeting. Representatives of national council, Dr. Sridhar attended the meeting. He highlighted the details of the program and mentioned guiding principles about women’s health and nutrition. He advised women to take care of their food.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Mohammed Mustaq Ali told that prevention is better than cure. Dr. Syed Ghousuddin gave useful advice to the radio team. Mr. Satish Nagraj, Communication Manager of National Council for Science and Technology told that the environment and food for every region is different and hence advice should be given accordingly. Ms. Syeda Sana Siddiqua, Chief Dietitian of Apollo Hospital presented the quarterly and half yearly reports and said that Science for Women’s Health and Nutrition program is being broadcast on Deccan Radio in a nice way under the caption “Sehat mera Ghahna”. Every program was full of information. She applauded the team of Deccan Radio. Ms. Khadija Sultana, an expert in Skill Development told the methods of developing various communication skills. Mr. Zahid Farooqui, Station Manager of Deccan Radio welcomed the guests. Ms. Yasmeen was the coordinator of the program. Present on this occasion were Ms. Madhavi, Mr. Mohammed Ismail.
