An Aeronautical Engineer reverted to Islam – Joins Arabic College


Villupuram: Ms. Premalatha of Pachaiyappa Nagar in Ulundurpet who was an Aeronautical Engineer left home and joined an Arabic College at Mangalampettai in Cuddalore district to study Arabic language.


After the death of her parents, she was staying with her grandmother Kasthuri. Her Uncle Sundaram (40) lodged a complaint at Ulundurpet police station about her missing. Police traced her out and produced before the magistrate. She gave a statement that she embraced Islam at her own will. She did not disclose it for the fear of her relatives. She changed her name to Ayesha. She decided to join an Arabic College in Cuddalore to study Arabic. She feared that they would oppose it.


Police informed her relatives, who came to the police station. They tried to convince her to come back home, but she refused to join her family.


The police, then produced her before the Ulundurpet Magistrate, who ordered her to be sent back to the college.
