Afreen Khan- The Kumta Muslim girl secures second rank in BSc from KU

Kumta: A Muslim girl from Kumta town has secured 2nd rank in Karnataka University BSc exams with 97.39%. It is a remarkable achievement for Afreen Javeed Khan who made the entire town feel proud.

According to Sahil Online, Afreen proved that the assumptions made by the general public about the Muslim community doesn’t have any basis in reality.

She missed out on the first rank just by 0.08%. She completed her B.Sc studies in Dr. A V Baliga college of Arts and Science in Kumta.

Afreen completing her primary and secondary education in Kumta from Nirmala convent school. In 2010 she completed her SSLC and scored 89.75% with distinction. Then she joined Dr. A V Baliga college of arts and science again she secured 88.83% along with distinction in 2012.

Apart from the academics Afreen also achieved number of awards and medals Sports , Seminars, paper presentations etc. She has won the Best student award in the year 2015 given by Kanara college society.
