Agra accident: Pleaded with folded hands but Irani didn’t help, says victim’s daughter

Agra: The daughter of the victim, who died after Smriti Irani’s cavalcade hit their vehicle, said that she pleaded before her with folded hands but the Union HRD Minister didn’t provide them any help. Irani’s convoy was caught in a car pile-up following an accident on the Yamuna Expressway on Saturday.

Describing the incident, her brother said his father was going to Mathura to attend a marriage when he was hit by Irani’s convoy. According to reports, an FIR has also been registered in connection with this accident.

Clarifying the claim, HRD Ministry spokesperson said that private vehicle that allegedly hit the biker, who later on died, has nothing to do with HRD Minister’s cavalcade as being run in section of media. Rather, the Minister directed SSP Mathura to arrange ambulance immediately so that injured could be given medical treatment at the earliest.
