Agra Music Festival to begin on Feb. 25

New Delhi [India]: Good news for all the music lovers, Agra Music Festival is coming up again and this time it will begin from February 25, at Hotel Ramada Plaza in Agra.

The event is jointly organised by Round Table India Foundation and Architect Association of Agra.

Speaking about the event, festival Curator D.K. Singh said, “The city famous for legends of World Music like Tansen and Nauhar Banim, lost its musical charm as the time passed. With Agra Music Festival our aim is to restore the long lost Agra musical heritage around the globe.”

The Agra Music Festival is an annual event to promote the state as music destination around the world.

More than 2,000 people are expected to explore Agra as emerging music capital of India in this melodious event.

Well known Rajasthani folk musicians Kutle Khan, Bollywood singer Aditi Sharma Singh, Bandish Band and DJ Aqeel will give their performances and Kaustav Songman will host first season of the festival.

“Along with promoting the musical heritage of the city, the festival also aims at promoting the welfare of underprivileged kids of the city and the funds raised at the festival will be used to build classrooms for these children,” said Ashish Gupta, Chairman RTIF (North India). (ANI)
