Ahmednagar gangrape: Opposition stages protest against Maharashtra Government in assembly

MUMBAI: The monsoon session of Maharashtra Legislature commenced today amid vociferous protests by opposition against the Devendra Fadnavis government on issues like corruption, Ahmednagar gangrape case and agrarian crisis.

Congress-NCP legislators, led by Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Dhananjay Munde, staged a protest on the steps of Vidhan Bhawan building, shouting slogans against the government.

Vikhe Patil alleged that tainted ministers have been inducted in the cabinet by the CM.

Munde raised the issue of the recent gang rape and murder of a minor girl in Katraj teshil of Ahmednagar and demanded action against the guilty.

In the Assembly, Vikhe Patil moved an adjournment notice on the gang rape issue.
