AIMIM to enter poll fray in Bihar; to field 40 candidates in Seemanchal: Asad

The All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has decided to contest in the Assembly elections in Bihar State.

Announcing his party’s decision, party supremo and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said his party would field candidates in some 40 constituencies. He also disclosed that he was appointing Akhtar-ul-Imam as president of the Bihar State unit of AIMIM in this connection. Stating that regional development council will be his party’s main agenda in the elections, Owaisi said his party would field candidates in the four districts of Seemanchal region.

Alleging that all previous State governments failed to neglect the Seemanchal region in the matter of development, the AIMIM chief said his party members would raise problems of Seemanchal area people in the Assembly after the elections. (NSS)
