MIM Floor leader and Chandrayangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi appeared before Nampally criminal court here on Tuesday and deposed before the magistrate in connection with the attack on him in Barkas area five years ago.
In the court hall, Akbaruddin recognized all the 13 accused, who attacked on him and told the court how he was attacked with weapons. He also told the court that he was attacked with knives and revolvers and one cartridge is still embedded in his body. The MIM leader also pleaded with the court to return his revolver seized during the investigation in the case. The court asked him to file a separate petition for getting his revolver back.
Later, the judge adjourned the hearing for Wednesday. Police had made elaborate security arrangements on the court premises when Akbaruddin appeared in the court. (NSS)
