Akbar Owaisi had sustained 6 injuries, was brought to hospital in unconscious state: Witness

Hyderabad: Former Duty Medical Officer (DMO) of Owaisi Hospital recorded his statement during the hearing of Chandrayangutta Attack Case in Nampally Criminal Court. Defence Council cross-examined him for 3 hours.

Dr. Abdul Bari is an Orthopedic surgeon, who is presently working in Saudi Arabia. In his statement, he told the court that on April 30, 2011, Akbaruddin Owaisi was brought to Owaisi Hospital.

Dr. Abdul Bari who was on emergency duty then, further informed that Akbar Owaisi had sustained, 6 injuries included 2 bullet injuries, and he was unconscious. Defence Counsel G Guru Murthi cross-examined him. Dr. Bari told that the abdomen injury was from left to right. The hearing was adjourned till the next day.

It must be recalled that MIM MLA from Chandrayangutta and party floor leader in the assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi had sustained serious injuries in a clash between his followers and rival group at Barkas.
