Akbar Owaisi was unconscious when he was being shifted to Care Hospital

Hyderabad: Hearing of Chandrayangutta attack case is being done on daily basis. Consultant Cardiologist of Care Hospital Dr. B R Bhaskar Rao recorded his statement in the court on Friday. Later Defence Counsel cross examined him.

Dr. Bhaskar told the court that on April 30, 2011, at 6 pm he reached Owaisi hospital through ambulance so that Akbar Owaisi could be shifted to care Hospital. On reaching the hospital, he saw that surgery was being performed on Akbar Owaisi in the operation theatre. When Akbar Owaisi was being shifted to Care Hospital in the ambulance, he was in unconscious state and he was put on ventilator. The witness told that Akbar Owaisi was handed over to surgical group under the supervision of Dr. Saleem in Care hospital. Dr. Bhaskar also added that besides Drs. Saleem, Dr. Wasif Ali, Dr. K Rama Rao, Dr. Rajshekhar Chakravarty, Dr. Ashfa Ahmed and Dr. Gyaneshwar Rao were also present in the group while Dr. Bhaskar himself was not included in the surgical group. His duty was to just hand over the patient to surgical team.

Answering to the questions posed by Defence Counsel, G Guru Moorthy, Dr. Bhaskar Rao told that since he was not ballistic expert he could not say whether Akbar Owaisi was injured from bullet or attack. Court has adjourned the hearing until December 26.
