Akbaruddin Owaisi Attack Case: ex-corporator replies confusingly

Hyderabad: Defense Consul Mr. Gurumurthy, Advocate interrogated former Corporator, Samad bin Abdat in Akbaruddin Owaisi Case. The Advocate asked him whether nine injuries on the body of Ibrahim bin Younus-al-Yafai were due to the bullets shot by Jani Miyan, gunman’s revolver and due to assault by Akbaruddin Owaisi, Ahmed Balala, Mansoor Awlaqui and Mahmood Awlaqui. Samad replied that after the attack they were mentally tortured and hence they were not in a position to attack.

The Advocate asked whether police produced the corporators to strengthen the case whereas these persons were not present on the spot. Samad told that he was present on the spot. When asked by the Advocate whether he knew the survey numbers of the lands claimed to be Govt. property, he said that he did not know but inform that during the General Elections of 2004, Akbaruddin Owaisi had announced that illegal possessions on Govt. lands would be cancelled and those lands would be allotted to poor persons for the construction of houses.

The Defense Consul also asked whether MIM had enter into a coalition with Congress at Central, State and Municipal levels during 2009 elections. The former Corporator of Uppuguda told that he is aware of coalition at Municipal level only and he pleaded ignorance about the coalition at Central and State levels. The interrogation will continue tomorrow also. During the hearing of the case, Mohammed Pahelwan and other accused persons were produced in the court by the police.
