Akbaruddin Owaisi Attack Case against Mohammed Pahelwan reopens – High Court issues notices

Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court issued notices to Mohammed Pahelwan and others on the appeals filed by Hyderabad City Police on 20th July. The hearing of these appeals was done by two member bench consisting of Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice J Uma Devi. Police filed another appeal requesting the court to change 10 years imprisonment to a life sentence of four accused persons.

After the arguments of Public Prosecutor, High Court issued notices to all the accused persons. It is expected that the advocates of Mohammed Pahelwan will present his stand soon.

It may be noted that VII Addl. Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Dr. C. Srinivas Rao had exonerated Mohammed Pahelwan and 9 other accused persons on 29th June. The Judge had also sentenced 10 years imprisonment to four accused persons. Both these appeals would be heard by the division bench.
