Akbaruddin Owaisi demands probe into Shaadi Mubarak scheme

MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has demanded thorough probe into the alleged irregularities in the Shaadi Mubarak scheme.

Raising the issue after Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s reply on Motion of Thanks for Governor’s Address in Legislative Assembly on Sunday, Akbaruddin Owaisi said although the scheme was good, lot of irregularities were being reported in its implementation. He urged the government to order a probe into the alleged irregularities.

He also asked the government to release Post Matric Scholarships for the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. Further, he said the proposed 70 residential schools for minorities should be provided with all facilities on par with SCs and STs. He also requested the Chief Minister to hand over 700 acres of vacant Wakf land in Manikonda Jagir to the Wakf Board.

The MIM leader sought State Government’s intervention to prevent the private schools from raising the fee exorbitantly.

Responding to Akbaruddin Owaisi’s request, the Chief Minister assured to look into them. (INN)
