Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Devasthanam founder-trustee and chairman Surity Krishna has said all arrangements were being made for the “Lashkar Bonalu”.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday, Krishna said LED screens were being set up in the temple streets for the benefit of the pilgrims. The GHMC would be providing Rs 5 meals to devotees. He said this year some 290 processions would have darshan of Ammavaru. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would offer “Pattu Vastralu” to Mahakali Ammavaru on the occasion. He also said Ministers T. Padma Rao and Talasani Srinivas Yadav were contemplating to celebrate the Bonalu on a grand note and the officials concerned were also making arrangements as per the ministers’ expectations.
Appealing to all political parties to lend cooperation in the conduct of “Lashkar Bonalu” festival in a peaceful manner, Krishna said the specialty of the Lashkar Bonalu is BC, SC and STs — Kummari, Gouds, Rajakas, Jogins, Mudirajus and Talaris would offer their services to the Ammavaru. (NSS)
