Allam Narayana, Chairman, Telangana State Press Academy, inaugurated a two day Journalists Health Card facilitation Camp at the office of the Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Department, here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that User Ids and Passwords have been issued to about 2800 Accredited Journalists of State Headquarters for the year 2017-18 under Renewal and Fresh category on their mobile phones and email Ids at the first instance. The same will be extended to all the Accredited Journalists of 31 districts in a phased manner, he said.
He informed that issue of Health Cards this time has been totally digitized and the journalists need not submit manual application forms as was done earlier, instead fill in application forms online to get health cards. On the first day of enrolment 356 Journalists health cards were approved.
Health cards to non-accredited journalists will also be issued immediately after the issue of health cards of Accredited Journalists, he said.
Mrs.K.Padma, Chief Executive Officer, JHS also visited the camp to oversee the arrangements made and hailed the initiation of the Department in issue of health cards to the Journalists.
Mr.Nagaiah Kamble, Additional Director, Mr.E.Venkatesham, Joint Director(MR), Mr.Syed Ahsan Hashmi, Asst.Director and others were also present.(NSS)
