Alleged Lashkar-e-Toiba cooperative released

Hyderabad: After serving seven-year imprisonment for allegedly having links with Lashkar-e-Toiba, Zia-ul-Haq was released from Warangal Central Prison on Monday. Zia-ul-Haq was arrested by Bhawani Nagar Police and was handed over to Special Investigation Team (SIT) on May 4, 2010, on the charges of having links with Lashkar-e-Toiba.

He drove to Hyderabad from Warangal jail along with his family members who received him at the jail. Senior advocate Mohammed Muzaffarullah Khan Shafa’at of Nampally Criminal Court followed up his case. After his release, Zia ul Haq and his family reached Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) office and thanked ex-Corporator Mr. Amjadullah Khan Khaled for helping him in critical situation and extending legal support.
