Andhra CM, Jaganmohan Reddy hail Teresa’s canonisation

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today hailed the canonisation of Mother Teresa, calling it as a “unique honour”.

“The sainthood to Mother Teresa is a unique honour for her humanitarian services to mankind. She proved that there is godliness in humans,” Naidu said in a statement.

Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy also expressed happiness over the sainthood to Mother Teresa.

“She is an embodiment of selfless service. The Mother endeared herself to people of the world through her service,” Jagan said.

Pope Francis today proclaimed Mother Teresa a saint at Vatican City, hailing her as the personification of maternal love and a powerful advocate for the poor.
