Andhra Government to build houses for the poor: Naidu

Rajamahendravaram (AP): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said his Government intends to provide houses to the poor and was working on a programme in this regard.

After inaugurating 2,256 houses built at a cost of Rs 57 crore near Ramakrishna theatre here, Naidu said the Government has decided to construct 5 lakh houses this year.

“Our Government’s main aim is to construct houses for the poor who dream of owning their own dwelling,” he said.

A sum of Rs 3 crore has been released to improve drinking water facility and provide regular power supply in Rajamahendravaram, the Chief Minister said.

He said educational institutions, hospitals and IT firms will be brought to the city.
