Anjaiah Nagar area is a classic example of a changed demographics in an urban centre which grew in terms of size of population and activities by leaps and bounds in a very short period. It falls under Alwal PS jurisdcition (Cyberabad Commissionerate) and also shares border with Hyderabad city police commissionerate. This area houses a huge chunk of migrant labourers from all over the country and early settlers from neighbouring Telangana districts. Interspersed with mixed localities it comes across as an ideal spot for criminals with an intention to taking shelters in shady areas.

The locality is full of people from every corner of the country, a majority from , the north Indian states and a considerable number from north eastern states., Most of these migrant labourers stay without any valid identity proofs and Tenant verification process by house owners is NIL. This area has many small scale industries in the adjoining areas and the huge Monda Market which is bustling with commercial activities.  Market area has a huge line up of heavy and small vehicles. A recent spurt in vehicle theft cases reported from nearby areas. Anjaiahnagar has borders with Trimulgherry, Bowenpally and Karkhana police Stations of Hyderabad city. The Area is increasingly becoming a shelter point for property offenders and anti-social elements. Lack of frequent visible and preventive policing might result in anti-social activities and public nuisance. Apart from these the current doings of the 10 MO criminals as per PS records also needed to be checked with proper search warrant.

Some 350 police personnel assembled at Anjaiahnagar under supervision of ACPs Syed Rafeeque, Ravichandan Reddy, Sai Manohar, Burhan Ali and others, carried out the operation. The residents were politely asked to cooperate with the police to avoid physical contact and conflict between the search party and the residents. The residents were asked to identify the vehicles parked in front the house and checked documents. The list of persons arrested by various police stations of Cyberabad and their addresses shown in Anjaiahnagar were searched with due warrants to check their complicity.  Their houses also were checked for incrementing material to crime.
