Another swine flu death in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: According to health official, one more person died of swine flu in Telangana, taking the death toll to six since August 2016. 116 people were affected from the disease so far. According to Swine flu bulletin 2717 samples were sent for testing by January 5, of which 107 were found positive. Till then number of deaths was 5.

According to sources, in a fresh incident, a 35-year-old woman died at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. The woman, who hailed from Yadadri district, was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. She died on Sunday.

The health department has advised people to take all precautions, and approach the hospital at the first symptoms of swine flu like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pain. Officials said that sufficient stock of medicines was available at all hospitals.

Homeopathic medicines can also be taken as a precautionary measure. These medicines were available free of cost in government homeopathic hospitals, Ramanthapur in Hyderabad and at all AYUSH dispensaries.
